Inviting the audience to discover 49 songs from the archive in an interactive and immersive music jukebox at the 2015 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival archive.
For the 2015 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival; Artanim Interactive, a start-up from Geneva, developed an immersive video jukebox for users to navigate through 49 songs from the archive. Once inside the jukebox, a motion capture system was set up to track a user’s gestures and movements so they could navigate through the catalogue of songs in an interactive way. In addition, music from the concerts was played back in 5.1 surround sound using a high-end Illusonic audio processor and high-quality PSI Audio loudspeakers. The jukebox, a large wooden box, was situated outside the Auditorium Stravinsky hall.
